To enable user registration, simply go to Settings » General and scroll down to Membership section. Check the box next to ‘Anyone can register’ option.
Next you need to select the default user role. The default user role is subscriber, here you can change to any other user role available. After that you need to click on the Save Changes button to store your settings.
Your WordPress site is now open for user registration.
