The tutorial deals with enabling/disabling sidebar modules in OpenCart 2.x.
OpenCart 2.x. How to manage sidebars
You can delete or add modules to sidebars on OpenCart pages through admin panel:
- Access OpenCart admin panel, go to System menu -> Design -> Layouts tab to add/delete sidebar box. The Layout tab offers variety of pages to which you can assign existing positions. Select the layout you would like to edit, for example the Contact Layout. Click on the Edit icon next to it to start customization:
- To add a new module, click on the icon “+” under the tab Module/Position/Sort Order. Select Module under Modules column, assign position using the Position drop-down menu and set order of module in the column Sort Order:
- To delete modules from sidebar or any other position, click the icon “-“ . Make sure to save the changes with the Save icon in the top right corner.
- In case the sidebar is missed on the page, you can create one by selecting the appropriate layout under the tab System -> Design -> Layouts of OpenCart admin panel. Click on Plus icon under the tab Module/Position/Sort order. Select Column Right or Column Left in Position of drop-down menu. After saving changes, your module will appear on front-end.
